With their Pets on Akasa solution, Akasa Air offers you the option to travel with your furry friends in the cabin and also carry them in the cargo compartment. This service aligns with Akasa’s vision to create an inclusive and humane travel experience. Currently, Pets on Akasa is available on domestic flights within India.

Important Points to Remember:

Definition of Pets: For the purpose of Akasa Air’s Pet Travel Policy, pets are defined as domesticated dogs and cats.
Age Requirement: Pets on Akasa is currently available for cats and dogs that are aged three months or older.
Booking Time: To ensure adequate preparations, pet travel booking needs to be done 48 hours prior to flight departure.
Health Certificate: Properly validated vaccination and health certificates from a registered vet must be obtained within 72 hours of travel. This health certificate will be considered valid for 15 days from the date of issuance.

How to Travel?

Three ways to travel with Pets on Akasa:

In Cabin with Passenger: Maximum up to 10 kgs
Check-in at Airport: Maximum up to 32 kgs
Travel from Cargo Terminal: Maximum up to 100 kgs

Need to Know

Three important guidelines to travel with Pets on Akasa:

Container Size for Cabin: Should not exceed 19” L x 12.6” W x 10” H
Container Size for Check-in/Cargo: Should not exceed 36” L x 28” W x 28” H
Pet Containment: Your pet must remain inside their closed/zipped-up container in the airport and for the entire flight.
