Akasa Air set to commence operations from Navi Mumbai International Airport; Announces direct flights to four Indian cities. Becomes one of the first airlines to commence operations from NMIA. Akasa Air now operates 34 weekly flights from Mumbai Metropolitan Region
Akasa Air, India’s fastest-growing airline, is set to commence operations from Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) connecting directly with four Indian cities, marking a pivotal moment in the airline’s expansion journey and India’s aviation narrative. With this, Akasa Air becomes one of the first airlines to commence operations from NMIA, a key node in its growth trajectory.
As part of its inaugural schedule, Akasa Air will operate the maiden flight between Delhi and Navi Mumbai International Airport on 25th December 2025. This will be followed by the commencement of scheduled flights connecting Navi Mumbai with Goa (eff. 25th December 2025), Delhi and Kochi (eff. 26th December 2025), and Ahmedabad (eff. 31st December 2025).
Bookings for flights are now open on Akasa Air’s website www.akasaair.com, Android and iOS app and through multiple leading travel agents.
Akasa Air will progressively ramp up operations from NMIA scaling up to 300 domestic and 50 international weekly departures. As part of its broader network strategy, the airline is also set to ramp up to 10 parking bases by the end of FY2027, with a focused international expansion into key Middle Eastern and Southeast Asian markets.
